Project: Create a book cover for Philip Caputo’s book, A Rumor of War. Using the given photographs from this story to work with.

Objective: To create a visually appealing design and theme that captures the viewer’s attention and conveys what this book is about.

Overall Visual: Informative, attention-grabbing, and organization of information.

My Design: For my project, I used two different photos to portray continuity on both the front of the cover and the back to lead the reader’s eyes across the information. I used different shape blocks to organize the information for easier viewing. I wanted a more monochromatic color scheme for a dramatic design, as the story also portrays.
